Orchestra gives students the opportunity to develop string technique, musical independence, listening skills, and the ability to perform as part of a unified ensemble. The emphasis is not only on playing accurately, but on learning how individual preparation supports the whole group.
Learn to listen, blend, and lift your voice.
Choir invites students to grow in vocal skill, musicianship, listening, and ensemble awareness while learning what it means to contribute one voice to a shared sound.

Band helps students develop instrumental technique, rhythm, tone, reading, and ensemble responsibility. Students learn that confident performance grows from preparation, attentive listening, and the discipline to support the group rather than simply play their own part.

Visual Art gives students opportunities to observe, imagine, experiment, and communicate through making.
Bring stories to life on stage and behind the scenes.
Theater invites students in grades 6–12 to use their God-given talents on stage and behind the scenes in DCS’s annual spring production. Auditions are held in January, with extracurricular rehearsals and crews for costume, makeup, set, lights, and sound — building confidence, creativity, teamwork, and leadership.
