Favorite Bible Verse:
Psalm 102:18 (NIV) - "Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the Lord."
Why I came to DCS:
I was already a sub here at the time. A missionary spoke at my church and challenged me to get out of my comfort zone. I realized I had grown too comfortable in my job and needed to transition into something more challenging. The next week, Mr. McDonald(DCS Administrator) asked me if I was interested in teaching here full time. I took that as a sign from God that I needed to make the switch from teaching at Columbus State Community College to DCS. I do not regret the change one bit.
When I was younger I wanted to:
Be involved with my parents in what they were doing. I spent a lot of time just hanging out and learning from them. I wanted to be under the car or in the basement with dad and in the kitchen or outdoors with mom. It was my parents' interest in things that spurred me on to search out the how's and why's of life. They provided me many opportunities to learn and discover the world around me.
Hobbies/Interests outside of DCS:
My garden; baking; chickens; hiking; kayaking; hunting; bowling; 4-H; reading; fishing; sewing. I am a Hunter Education Instructor and secretary of OHTEIA, as well as secretary of my church.
