The “Eagle” has landed

If you haven’t had the opportunity to stop by the gymnasium lately you will be surprised to see the addition of a newly painted “Eagle” mural on the west wall near the entrance. The mural was recently completed by sisters Shannon and Laurel Ridge with the help and patience of art teacher Connie Price. The girls’ concept was selected a year and a half ago as the winner of a student contest to design a new school mascot mural to be added to the then freshly painted gymnasium walls. With the help of Mrs. Price, the team worked for nearly a week to complete the project. The mural has been dedicated to the school as a gift from the 2013 graduating senior class of which Shannon is a member.
