Teacher Appreciation Week ~ May 4-8

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week is next week – Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8. We need you, yes you, students and parents at DCS to participate and make this week such a blessing to the teachers and staff who help you every day.
Here is the schedule for the week:
·Monday – Elementary: Door decorating (room moms coordinating); Secondary: Send a note or card of thanks and encouragement to your teachers
·Tuesday – Flower Shower: Bring your teachers‘/staff members’ favorite flowers (real, silk, paper) (see link below for list)
·Wednesday – Snack Attack: Bring your teachers’/staff members’ favorite candy or healthy snack (see link below for list)
·Thursday – Send in a note or card to your specials teachers and staff members telling how much you appreciate what they do each day
·Friday – A special breakfast will be provided for the teachers and the staff. Any monetary gifts for the purchase of this breakfast will be much appreciated. Also, the teachers and staff will be blessed with as special lunch provided by Chik-Fil-A. Any volunteers to help serve the lunch on this day from 10:30 – 12:00 at the school would also be greatly appreciated.
We want to make sure that everyone feels valued so don’t hold back your thanks this week. It would be so much better to shower the wonderful teachers and staff here at DCS in a deluge of appreciation than to have any of them feel they have not made a difference. Participation is entirely voluntary, but we do hope you, students and parents alike, will take part.
