Chayse Arnhold, 7th grade, won the DCS school level of the Scripps National Spelling Bee competition for the second year in a row. After 17 rounds, she spelled the winning word "skeleton". 8th grader Chris Carroll came in second place, and 6th grader Matthew Rao was in third place. Chayse will now take an online test to determine if she will advance further in the competition. Twenty-five students from 4th through 8th grade participated in the school bee.
