Rideout’s story chosen for Annual Child Writing Project

Posted 02/11/14

A story written by third grader, Olivia Rideout, has been chosen from over 1,000 entries to be part of Columbus Children’s Theatre’s 30th Annual Child Writing Project, After Ever After. The original piece “The Gingerbread Girl” written by Olivia is among a select few to be staged and performed as part of the Columbus Children’s Theatre 2014-2015 touring season. The Columbus Children’s Theatre Touring Company visited Delaware Christian School in November for a performance and workshops.  Students were instructed and encouraged to participate in the Child Writing Project.

The world premiere of After Ever After will be performed on March 8. After the performance, there will be a brief award ceremony and photo session with the authors and actors.

Olivia is the daughter of Reed and Kay Rideout and she is a student of third grade teacher, Shannon Gill.  Congratulations to all.
