There will be a Post-Secondary Enrollment Option meeting Monday, March 11, 7:00 p.m. in Room 118 (English Room by the school office). DCS policy allows 11th and 12th grade students to earn college credits while in high school. The Ohio Department of Education will pay for up to 8 semester hours/year. Five semester hours will equal one high school credit (C.U.). Any 10th or 11th student interested in participating in PSEO MUST attend this meeting with a parent. A representative from Ohio Christian University will be making a presentation about their on-line program which works very well for DCS students. Many other area universities participate in the PSEO program but most require on-campus classes. Cedarville University has an extensive on-line PSEO program but requires self-pay at a cost of $125/credit which is 20 percent of their on-campus class fee. All options will be discussed that night.
