Mark your calendars for Impact Day on Monday, May 7, at 6:30 pm in the DCS auditorium!
Impact Day is a College 101 course for rising juniors and seniors and their parents (the program is geared towards 11th and 12th grade students, but all high school students are welcome to attend). Students and parents will be able to hear from admissions workers about what it takes to prepare for and find a school that fits their needs. The evening features discussions about the general admissions process, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities. Attendees will also be able to ask questions. Matt McPherson, an admissions counselor from Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU), will lead this discussion that is not specific to MVNU, but will help prepare you and your student no matter which college is chosen. Please RSVP to sheri.broadfoot@dcschool by Friday, May 4, with how many in your family will be attending.
