Congratulations Math Olympics Contestants

Congratulations Math Olympians! On February 23, DCS took part in the 2015 ACSI Math Olympics.  Thirty-nine students participated from DCS.  Twelve schools and 2 home-schooled groups participated with a total 404 students competing.  We had five students who received ribbons.  Congratulations to:

Ava Eads - 2nd place - 4th Grade Computation
Matthew Rao - 2nd place - 5th Grade Reasoning
Elise Brown - 3rd place - 5th Grade Reasoning.
Jordan Edwards - 2nd place - 8th Grade Reasoning
Samuel Ringley - 3rd place - 8th Grade Reasoning

ACSI has a new policy for awarding a 1st place ribbon.  Students with a score of 85% or higher on the test will receive a Math Olympics medal.  Congratulations to Temirlan Snedden for 1st place in 7th Grade Reasoning and receiving a Math Olympics medal for scoring a 94%!!!
