Boytar wins DCS Geography Bee

Eighth grader Tristan Boytar won the 2013 Geography Bee, Tuesday, December 17 answering correctly, "The Ronne Ice Shelf borders which continent?" Answer: "Antarctica." Matthew Barber, also an 8th grader, came in second. The Bee included 5 contestants each from grades 4 through 8. Tristan will now take a very difficult written test to qualify to go on to the state level. The Bee is sponsored by the National Geographic Society.
