Elementary students need both challenge and encouragement. DCS creates a learning environment where strong academics, biblical formation, and age-appropriate responsibility grow together from the first days of school through fifth grade.

The right foundation at every stage.
Children change quickly between Pre-K and fifth grade. DCS builds on that growth intentionally — beginning with readiness and foundational skills, then strengthening fluency, problem-solving, responsibility, and independence as students prepare for middle school.
Pre-K & Kindergarten
A joyful beginning to school. The earliest years introduce children to school as a place of discovery, structure, friendship, and growth. Students begin building early literacy and number sense, explore science and social studies, learn biblical truth, and participate in creative, physical, and technology-rich experiences in a loving, encouraging environment.
Grades 1–2
Building confidence through strong fundamentals. As reading, writing, and math skills expand, students begin applying what they know with greater fluency and independence. Classroom routines reinforce responsibility, organization, listening, problem-solving, and thoughtful participation while students continue growing academically, spiritually, socially, and physically.
Grades 3–5
Growing ownership. Deeper thinking. Upper elementary students are challenged to manage more complex work, communicate ideas more clearly, and take greater ownership of their habits and responsibilities. Core academic study deepens while projects, presentations, and other opportunities give students new ways to apply their skills and discover strengths.
Beyond the Core
Room to create, move, perform, and explore. A strong elementary education includes more than core subjects. Art, music, physical education, and technology give students additional ways to create, communicate, work with others, and develop the gifts God has given them.
