Merry Christmas, DCS Families!

Merry Christmas DCS Families!

It is such a joy to have so many students filling the hallways at DCS this year!  We are so blessed to have a wonderful school community comprised of teachers, parents, and students who are committed to Christian education.

The past week has been marked by an increase in excitement as we quickly approached the end of the semester.  Despite the cold, it has been wonderful to be outside greeting the students as they arrived to school carrying an array of presents and treats for class parties.  What is even more exciting is that in the midst of the Christmas trees, jingle bells, and other decorations, DCS teachers are able to share with their students about the greatest gift of all - the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

As is often the case, our children tend to continually remind us of life’s greatest truths, and this week, an excited first grader shared the following:  “Did you know that Christ is in Christmas?  Just look at the word ‘Christmas’!  See!  Christ is right there at the beginning!”

Our prayer is that your family will have a wonderful Christmas break, and that Christ will remain the focus of the Christmas season.

Merry Christmas,
