Friday, November 20, is Feast Day. It is time to start plans for our annual DCS Thanksgiving dinner. This will include pre-K through grade 12, teachers and staff, board members and Delaware Police Department - approximately 310 people. The elementary students and teachers will dress as Pilgrims and Indians for the day as we attempt to capture the spirit of that first Thanksgiving in the early days of our country’s history. The menu will include turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, corn, applesauce, roll, ice cream bar or pumpkin pie, milk or orange juice. SECONDARY STUDENTS: Secondary students will be charged $4.00 to cover the additional cost of the meal. They may also dress up as Pilgrims and Indians for the day (Spirit Day). High school student council will be running a canned food drive.
