Why I came to DCS:
My contact was Carolyn Nichols who I believe was the first teacher at Delaware Christian School (when it was only a Kindergarten). Mrs. Nichols attended my church, Berean Bible. I grew up with her two children who attended and graduated from Delaware Christian. After graduate school, I was looking to return to Ohio to teach. (Prior to graduate school, I had taught for three years in Pennsylvania.) I had interviewed at three schools in Ohio, and as I was literally praying about God's will, Mr. McDonald called. I came for a second interview, loved the atmosphere, felt a peace about being here and accepted the position (after being interviewed by the school board).
When I was younger I wanted to:
be a farmer (my grandpa was a farmer). Then I wanted to be a veterinarian until I learned more about what all a veterinarian has to do while I was in 4-H. When I started college, I was going to be an English Education major, but fell in love with the Christian teaching of history!
Hobbies/Interests outside of DCS:
I like to read--mostly non-fiction. I like to take short trips around Ohio. My favorite television show--as nearly all of my students know-- is the Andy Griffith Show. Peanuts is a favorite "hobby" of mine. I am very involved in my church--Children's Church, Patch the Pirate Club and College and Career Sunday School class.
