Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up. ~Pablo Picasso

The creation of art is a gift from Our Creator that we can appreciate every day. Everything we can touch, see, feel and experience in the world around us is because of Him. Lower elementary will learn about art appreciation, color studies, weaving, 3-view projects, still life studies and more. Beginning in the fourth grade, we focus on the elements of art; color, texture, value, line, space and form.

Upper levels focus on studies that employ a variety of the elements such as live figure drawing, oil painting, wood burning, portrait work and perspective. Young artists will experience the wonder of color in different forms. Students will learn the purpose in creating artwork. They will also develop an appreciation of art and the artist.
